I turned 48 today…cool.
Alot of people don’t make it this far in life, so I feel blessed.
Many thanks to everyone on various social media, for the birthday messages…it means alot, and I appreciate it!
Nothing special went on today…just hung around the house this morning, then went out for a sushi lunch with my family.
I will post those pics later…promise.
Yesterday was the big day…alot of walking, a ride on the shinkansen (bullet train) clambering through a crazy busy Tokyo Station, and more train rides (subway) home.
All in about five hours…but my son was a trooper. You should have been there.
It was for him, after all.
Got to pick out my own birthday treat (not a cake) this afternoon, after lunch. Instead of something chocolate, I wanted something sweet and sour. Can you guess what I chose?
I did get a message from an old classmate, that they would be visiting Japan in late October, early November. It’s been well over 22 years since I saw them last so it would be great to catch up on old times!!
Back to work tomorrow, after a three-day weekend (second one in a row). Next Sunday, I will be attending a workshop on implementing music in english lessons. I’ve always made music an integral part of my lessons…because kids will always learn more on their feet, and just more fun.
Gotta start planning for October and Halloween!!
